The Problem

Melba Swintex, the UK’s leading supplier of traffic management products, faced a series of marketing challenges. Despite their strong position in the industry, their online presence lacked professionalism and didn’t effectively showcase their leadership in the market. Their website and marketing materials failed to reflect their success, and their ad-hoc email campaigns were inconsistent, leading to missed opportunities for product launches and customer engagement.

The marketing resource was stretched thin, struggling to inform customers about new product ranges and innovations, which meant their efforts weren’t reaching their full potential. This inefficiency was taking valuable time away from other critical business operations.

As Melba Swintex looked to expand into Europe, they encountered even more complexity. They lacked the data and strategic focus needed to launch targeted campaigns in new regions, especially in markets where they had not yet established a foothold. Without a structured approach, their expansion efforts were slowed down, limiting their ability to grow internationally.

It was clear that they needed a comprehensive marketing strategy to streamline their efforts, improve their online presence, and drive growth, both domestically and across Europe.

The Solution

Solvi Digital crafted a focused marketing strategy to streamline Melba Swintex’s efforts, ensuring their resources were directed toward the highest ROI areas. We conducted a content shoot day to highlight their product quality, creating professional visuals that could be used across their platforms to elevate their brand. We also took over the management of their LinkedIn page, driving engagement with both new and existing customers by sharing updates and innovations consistently.

For their email marketing, we developed a more structured approach, implementing regular campaigns to inform their customer base of new products and industry updates. This helped increase visibility and strengthen relationships with existing clients.

To support their European expansion, we produced a targeted cold email prospecting campaign. By identifying key markets and regions, we developed highly personalised emails designed to connect with potential clients in untapped areas. This approach enabled Melba Swintex to make inroads into new markets while maintaining their stronghold in the UK.

By handling these marketing tasks, we allowed Melba Swintex to focus on core business operations, while ensuring their marketing became more efficient, consistent, and results-driven.

— Product Manager, Melba Swintex

The Results

Our marketing efforts delivered impressive results for Melba Swintex across multiple areas. The targeted cold email prospecting campaign focused on their European expansion generated six new business opportunities within the first three weeks of the campaign running. This allowed them to gain traction in new markets, helping them enter previously untapped regions efficiently.

On LinkedIn, from January 1st to October 12th, Melba Swintex experienced remarkable growth. Their follower base grew by 27%, while their overall reach expanded by an astounding 2,466%. This led to a 1,968% increase in impressions and a 1,082% rise in profile visits. These gains significantly enhanced their online visibility, allowing them to connect more effectively with their audience, further solidifying their position as a leader in the traffic management sector.

Manufacturing

Melba Swintex // Product Testing

About Melba Swintex

Melba Swintex operates in the manufacturing sector, specialising in crucial barrier systems and safety products for Impact Protection across industrial, construction, and logistics environments. Their clientele consists of sophisticated B2B buyers who rely heavily on proven performance, verifiable regulatory compliance, and clear engineering standards before committing to substantial orders.

Solvi Digital has partnered with Melba since early 2024, providing integrated digital support, including Social Media Management, Email Marketing, and strategic Paid Media. Their products represent engineering excellence; their digital presentation needed to actively reflect this high calibre through evidence.

The Problem

Melba’s products required stronger, more credible proof to substantiate their performance claims. The existing content strategy, which often utilised simple slow-motion clips or static shots, failed to satisfy the technical scrutiny demanded by the manufacturing sector.

The core issue was authority. Customers needed to see how the barriers performed under controlled conditions and why they met stringent testing criteria. Previous digital content did not systematically communicate the forces involved or the precise level of regulatory compliance achieved. This lack of detailed, technical authority in the online assets created a gap between the product's actual quality and its digital representation. The sales team often found themselves having to manually bridge this gap, as the website and social channels did not preemptively build the necessary trust. We needed to transition the marketing message from simple 'product features' to 'proven engineering authority.'

The Solution

Our Launch Strategy treated the testing day as a professional production event, designed to generate a comprehensive content bank showcasing technical transparency. The filming focused on three key areas:

  • Engineering Context: Capturing on-camera explanations from experts, like Dan and Phil, to detail the product development and the commercial implications of the testing results.
  • Performance Proof: Filming dramatic slow-motion impact footage of the barriers under load to visually demonstrate resilience.
  • Technical Rigour: Documenting the setup and methodology, highlighting the technical effort behind regulatory compliance.

This holistic approach provided Melba with an extensive asset bank, enabling them to lead with evidence. The high-value content was then segmented and deployed across various channels, integrated into ongoing PPC Campaigns and Email Marketing efforts, forming effective B2B Marketing material.

The Results

The rigorous, evidence-led Video Content Production campaign delivered immediate, high-quality results.

The core campaign achieved significant reach, generating over 350,000 impressions in a focused 45-day period, ultimately reaching approximately 395,000 impressions. This reach was directly correlated with high-quality commercial interest, including requests for product demonstrations. The new content library now forms the bedrock of our ongoing Social Media Management strategy.

Our sustained partnership has driven substantial long-term success, with Melba achieving approximately 1.64 million impressions across the full year (October 30, 2024, to October 2025). Most significantly, our focused PPC Campaigns and marketing strategy contributed directly to a major commercial opportunity: a proposal for a European company to manufacture roof tiles, valued at approximately £1.7 million.

The website and social channels now function as credible platforms that reinforce trust, demonstrate capability, and support Melba's long-term growth objectives, moving them from merely selling products to establishing indisputable authority in Impact Protection.

MK Drainage & Environmental

The Problem

MK Drainage & Environmental, a newly founded venture by a prominent property maintenance company in Milton Keynes, was set up to break into the competitive residential and commercial drainage market as a standalone business. However, despite the backing of an established parent company, MK Drainage & Environmental faced the uphill challenge of starting from scratch in an entirely new field. With zero online presence—no website, social media, or Google Ads—the business struggled with visibility and lacked a digital platform to showcase its services.

Without an established brand or existing client base in drainage, the company faced significant barriers to generating enquiries and standing out against local competitors. They needed not only to build awareness but also to secure a steady flow of leads to sustain growth, prove their credibility, and establish themselves as a reliable drainage solution in both residential and commercial sectors.

The Solution

To help MK Drainage & Environmental establish a solid foundation in the drainage sector, we designed a comprehensive strategy centred around high-impact revenue generation channels. Google Ads took priority as a core driver for visibility and lead generation, enabling the new business to target and attract local customers actively searching for drainage services. Alongside this, we crafted a professional online presence that projected both credibility and authority within the industry—a crucial factor in establishing trust with new audiences.

Our partnership with MK Drainage & Environmental extended to managing their Google Ad campaigns, developing social media advertising, and creating engaging content across their social media platforms. This holistic approach allowed the business to reach a broader customer base, build brand recognition, and drive quality enquiries that laid the groundwork for steady growth.

Due to the success of these initial strategies, our scope with MK Drainage & Environmental has since expanded. We are now actively driving new enquiries for broader maintenance services, including composite decking contracts, thereby helping the business diversify and grow its offerings within the property maintenance space.

The Results

Through our targeted digital marketing strategy, MK Drainage & Environmental achieved impressive growth in visibility, engagement, and enquiries across their online channels.

Our Google Ads campaigns, which focused on high-intent search terms related to drainage and maintenance services, drove significant traffic and conversions. Between January and October 2024, the campaigns yielded:

  • 5,482 clicks with an average cost-per-click (CPC) of £2.25.
  • A conversion rate of 7.53%, resulting in 413 direct conversions from search traffic.
  • A total ad spend of £12,354.54, averaging £29.91 per conversion.

These figures translated into valuable, high-quality leads, helping MK Drainage & Environmental establish a consistent stream of enquiries and position themselves competitively in the drainage sector. By combining effective keyword targeting and cost-efficient ad management, our campaigns provided the business with the robust foundation they needed for sustainable growth and further expansion into related service areas.
